Acceptable Use Policy | Digilight PMS

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy explains the rules for using Digilight PMS. It forms part of the Terms of Service and applies to every account, Authorised User, administrator and Subscriber. Digilight PMS is a cloud-based hotel management software product and online service operated by Digilight India, intended for legitimate hospitality operations; you agree to use it responsibly, lawfully, and in accordance with this policy.

2. What you may not do

You may not use the Service to:

Break any applicable law or regulation.
Upload fraudulent, stolen, or misleading information.
Access another customer's property, account, or data.
Circumvent authentication, authorisation, or security controls.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to discover the source code, except where permitted by law.
Introduce malware, ransomware, viruses, or other harmful code.
Interfere with the platform's availability or performance.
Abuse APIs, automation, bots, or scraping tools.
Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited communications.
Infringe intellectual property rights.
Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or organisation.
Mine cryptocurrency, or run other compute-intensive workloads unrelated to hotel operations.
Carry out a denial-of-service (DoS or DDoS) attack, or otherwise deliberately exhaust the Service's compute, memory, storage or bandwidth.
Send abusive or excessive automated requests.

3. Guest data

You are responsible for ensuring that Guest Data is collected and processed lawfully. Do not enter personal information about a guest unless you are legally permitted to do so. Your responsibilities for guest data are set out in the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.

4. Security

You must:

Keep your credentials confidential.
Use a strong, unique password.
Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Ensure only authorised staff use your account, and give each member of staff their own login.

How we protect your data, and how to report a vulnerability, are set out in the Security Policy.

5. Fair use

You must not intentionally overload, stress-test, or interfere with the Service without our written authorisation.

6. Suspension

We may suspend or restrict access where necessary to protect the Service, protect other customers, investigate suspected misuse, comply with legal obligations, or prevent security incidents. Where reasonably possible we will notify you before suspension, except where immediate action is necessary.

7. Termination

Serious or repeated violations of this policy may result in termination in accordance with the Terms of Service.

8. Reporting abuse

Report abuse or a security concern to support@digilightpms.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with the Terms of Service, and every change is recorded in the version history at the foot of this page.
